Our tradition began in 1978 with Miklós Rácz, the father of Barnabás Rácz. Miklós was a world-travelled double bass player who, in his retirement, developed an interest in crafting double basses. This inspired his son to follow in his footsteps and establish his own workshop.

Today, the family tradition continues with Barnabás's son, Adorján. With over four decades of experience, the Rácz family has established a reputation for creating exceptional instruments of the highest quality. It is an honor to continue the legacy and to share our passion for the art of double bass making.
